How identifyd collects, uses and protects your information. If you connect a Gmail account to identifyd, the first section below explains exactly what identifyd can and can't do with it.
In short: If you connect your Gmail account, identifyd uses it only to send the emails you write, approve or schedule in identifyd. identifyd can't read your email.
identifyd lets you connect your Gmail account so that the emails you send through identifyd come from your own mailbox. When you connect it, we ask Google for two things only:
identifyd cannot read, search, change or delete the email in your Gmail account, and it doesn't see your inbox, contacts or other Google data.
What we keep. Your Google account's name, email address and ID; the access and refresh tokens Google gives us, encrypted (AES-256); and, for each email identifyd sends for you, its recipient, subject, text, the time it was sent and the conversation ID Google returns, so the email shows in your identifyd account's activity.
How we use it. Only to send the emails you ask identifyd to send and to record them in your identifyd account. We don't use Google user data for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Who sees it. No one at identifyd reads your Google user data, unless you ask us to for support, it's needed for security, or the law requires it. We don't share it with anyone except the providers that host identifyd's servers and database, under contract, to run the service.
Removing access. Disconnecting Gmail in identifyd (User Settings → Email account → Disconnect) deletes the tokens at once. You can also remove identifyd's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Records of emails already sent stay in your identifyd account as part of your outreach history until you delete them or close your account.
identifyd's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
